The sup armada was a fantastic event even with the weather gods stacked against it – sending wind and not your typical summer weather (if there is such a thing). The atmosphere was incredible both on and off the water making a weekend to remember.
Over £2000 was raised for charity via board hire, donations and other generous gifts which will really boost the Armada Trust’s coffers to help get more kids involved in SUP in the future.
SUP Armada world record attempt
The Guinness record attempt went ahead in between showers and despite the wind and rain over 302 paddlers managed to navigate the course with everyone having a fantastic time. Well done everybody, the record attempt shall take place again next year.
BSUPA helped facilitate taster sessions to over 250 people, yoga, tours and tips, sunset tours and helping 100s of young and older people alike get on the water.
The euro tour was an amazing display of the pinnacle of the racing scene.
All in all a great family friendly sup weekend festival.
