Why we need you
As part of our commitment to grow and improve BSUPA, we need YOU the active members and instructors to have your say in shaping our future together. It’s in all our interests and the greater interest of British stand up paddle boarding that your ideas and suggestions are heard. For this reason this could be the most important event of the year. We encourage questions, comments, criticisms and active debate.
What we are going to do
The day will kick of around 9am where we will catch up with BSUPA head coach and director Andy Gratwick and director BSUPA co-founder and chairman Simon Bassett. After refreshments we’ll kick start the activities. These will involve:
- A focus on safety with the RNLI
- A look in to adventure activities licensed for SUP Schools and clubs
- Facts and important information about getting appropriate insurance
- How to set up a BSUPA school and club
- Paddle sessions
- Revalidation opportunities
- Instructor hacks
- Shaping the future of course and activities in BSUPA
- Discussions on club development, supporting women SUP instructors, lifeguard training and beach cleans
Refreshments & lunch are also available.
Instructor Revalidation opportunity
We are giving you the opportunity to revalidate your BSUPA Instructor Certificate during our ‘Revalidation Paddle’ with a BSUPA Trainer. If you wish to be a part of this, you must contact us at the email address below and ask for the relevant examination paper to emailed to you (either Level 1 or Level 2).
