BSUPA Event 2 - Roadford 29th May
BSUPA are proud to be running the next distance race in conjunction with The Environment Agency.
On Saturday 29th May BSUPA are running Distance and Sprint races at Roadford Lake Country Park, between Okehampton & Launceston in Devon. The distance race is being classed as a counting race in the BSUPA Series.
This is our first inland race and we are very excited to be holding it in such a beautiful area. There are great facilities at the lake with camping onsite. Roadford Lake on the Devon/Cornwall border is the largest lake for watersports in the South West.
At the lake you can enjoy a range of water-based activities including sailing, windsurfing, kayaking and multi-activity days. There is also a licensed cafe on the opposite side of the Lake for those who want to make a weekend of it.

Along with the BSUPA event there are a whole lot of other things going on... and the BBC will be there filming the whole event, so make sure you have your hair done

Registration will be between 9am and 10am with the distance race beginning at 11am. Depending on wind on the day it will be either a triangular course or a down winder. It will be a 5km course with personal times being taken. Sprint races will take place in the afternoon. At the moment we are looking at a 4 man heat format on a triangular course, depending on numbers.
There will also be SUP taster sessions going on and other water equipment for you to try your hand on.
