BSUPA Event 1 - 2010 - West Wittering
The first BSUPA event from the 2010 series will be at West WIttering beach on May 15th and 16th. Full details will be released shortly, including the new rules for 2010 (the only major difference is the addition of an open board category to allow all of you with 12ft 6" plus boards to race).
We will be setting a good downwind course for you to race on, that, as long as conditions are favourable, will include downwind with swell beind you, then into Chichester harbour for downwind on flat water. We have been out paddling a couple of routes and they look very good. We will sort out drop off and pick up of boards/racers closer to the time as it looks like we have access to a trailer set up to carry boards.
If we get surf we also hope to run the first round of the surfing contest. Fingers crossed!
