Animal Windfest Weekend
This weekend sees the Animal windfest at Poole and BSUPA's Round Brownsea Island race. anyone entering Saturday's main SUP event needs to get their bright and early as registration is between 8.30 and 9!

So here's the order of the day...
BSUPA Round Brownsea Island Race
Registration 8.30-9.00am
This will take place in or beside the entrance to the marquee on the beach-side. Look for the BSUPA flag. Please note even if you have pre-entered online you still need to come to registration to pick up your race number.
9.45am Race Briefing
Please have yourself and your equipment in position close to the start/finish line area in the harbour, ready for race briefing. If we are experiencing adverse conditions that make it unsafe to race, the race will be put on hold for 30 minutes. Please see the race notice board for updates and revised times if this happens/
10.00am Start of Race
On completion of the race please make yourself known to the organisers so they can close you off the list and note your arrival time.
Fun Paddle Round Brownsea Island
Registration 8.30 - 9.00am / 11.30am - 12.30pm
Early morning registration will take place with the Race registration in or beside the marquee. Later registrations will be at the harbour side. look out for the BSUPA flag. Please note that if you have pre-entered online you are still required to come to registration in order to pick up a paddle number.
For those who do not have a paddle or board, we do have a limited number of boards available for use during this event. Please us know when registering.
12.45 Race Briefing

1pm start of Paddle Round The Island
This is a fun paddle for those of you who are knew to Stand Up Paddle Boarding and/or don't feel ready to compete. It is not a race.
A safety boat will lead the fleet round the island at a pace that allows paddlers to stay together. Throughout the paddle there will be safety craft in attendance. all safety procedures will be explained at the Paddle Briefing.
At the end of the paddle please make yourselves known to the organisers so they can close you off the list and note your arrival.
Sunday see's the sprint racing.

Registration: 10-10.30am
The sprints will run at 11am, 1pm and 3pm
There are boards and paddle provided for anyone without (or wanting to try something different).
We are encouraging as many people to enter as possible. The course will be a simple straight line 100m sprint out to a marker buoy and then 100m sprint back to the finish line on the beach.
If you have the chance to make it down to Poole at some point this weekend, do. Animal Windfest is well worth a visit.
