BSUPA Events 2010
We were hoping to have more event dates nailed down by now, but here is the list so far - more will follow as soon as we have heard from organisers confirming arrangements :
West Wittering - 2XS - 15th & 16th May 2010 Surf Counting in BSUPA series
Brighton - July 4th Paddle Round the Pier - Distance Race - Counting in BSUPA Distance series
Poole - Animal Windfest - 10th & 11th September - Distance Race - Counting in BSUPA series
Watergate Bay, Cornwall - 16th 17th October - Final event - combining surf and the last distance race in the series.
In 2010, as discussed and agreed at the AGM with members in January we will be running a distance series and a surf series. You can expect three to four events in each category. We have made Paddle Round the Pier and the Animal Windfest part of the distance series for 2010, if this proves a success we will hopefully continue and develop this over the coming years. The distance series will have two board type categories, one limited by there being no boards over 12ft 6" and the other having no length limit. We will be running Men's, Womens and Juniors categories.

BSUPA Free Race Wave Fun Coaching SUP Session
10am at X-Train HQ -West Wittering Windsurf Club Saturday 20th FEB 2010 .
Jock Patterson BSUPA surf and distance champion 2009 will be holding a free coaching session for BSUPA members and non members over at West Wittering beach.
BSUPA and SAS work together to raise money
Three of Britain’s best stand up paddle boarders met at West Wittering windsurf club at this Friday, 29th January to launch the Surfers Against Sewage (SAS) 2010 Challenge, a Guinness World Record™ breaking attempt to cross the English Channel in June this year that also aims to raise at least £10,000 for SAS’s campaigns and celebrate the organisation’s 20th anniversary.
BSUPA AGM 2010
The BSUPA AGM will be held at West Wittering Memorial Hall on 30th January 2010 at 2pm. We will be surfing in the morning and meeting in the Inn at Home for lunch at 12.20pm, do come and join. Please be aware you need to be a paid up BSUPA member to attend.
